Daniel starts his career

Daniel Purdie-Brown of Whakatohea has stepped into a building career following the completion of a two-year Wananga-run trade-training course.

Bud Latham of Aotearoa Construction met Daniel in Whakatane during the construction of Maia Homes’ new show home. He was impressed with Daniel’s attitude and motivation, and decided to offer him a BCITO apprenticeship. Since then, Daniel has been learning the ropes on the Wairpareira Trust job in West Auckland.
