Te Puni Kokiri funding leads to design award

Aotearoa Constructions architectural intern, Renee Holtom, has been awarded the Student-Rising Star Award at the 2010 Resene Colour Awards for her colour schemes for Maia Homes. Funding from Te Puni Kokiri enabled the company to take on the recent Masters of Architecture graduate, who has become a key member of our design team.

Her colour schemes for the Julian Guthrie designed housing give the owners options to personalise the homes. Renee says the colour options are designed for a funky, modern style of living to complement the buildings, which are designed to provide affordable, modern homes in Maori communities.
